A dressage clinic aimed at West region riders of all grades is being hosted at Riverleigh International Equestrian Centre on Sunday the 5th of May 2013. The clinic has been designed to help riders improve their test riding which, as all riders will tell you, is an art on its own. Riders may choose to ride a lower grade or higher grade test and are welcome to choose from SAEA or FEI WC tests as a warm-up for the SAEA qualifier.
Each rider will be allocated a 20 minute session where they will ride their chosen test for National Candidate judge, Sheba Zager. Immediately after the completion of the test, Sheba will go through the test with the rider, discussing where marks were lost and how to improve on the marks given. Riders are then allowed to ride the test again and use the insights gained to improve on their previous mark.
This clinic also serves as a West region fundraiser as well as contributing towards team selection. The more people who support the fundraiser the better, so all spectators and instructors are welcome.
